My Story

​​My love for numbers started early. In kindergarten, when my mom asked what I wanted to be, I didn’t have an answer, but I knew I loved math. She suggested accounting, and while most kids would have forgotten about it, I took that idea and ran with it—determined to make it my own. As I grew, I didn’t just accept the path ahead; I pushed against the traditional ways, always looking for ways to do things differently, creatively, and better.

When I reached college, I realized that being part of the 2% of Black accountants in the country came with a whole new set of challenges. It was a culture shift and forced me to get serious about my career. But even then, I didn’t want to just fit in—I wanted to stand out. That’s where my rebellious side really kicked in. I knew I didn’t want to be the typical accountant sitting quietly behind a desk. I wanted to bring my personality, my creativity, and yes—my rebellious nature—into my work.

Music has always been my outlet and inspiration. It carried me through tough times and acted as a mirror to guide my life. I used it as fuel, and it shaped my mindset. I started seeing myself as a rockstar in life and in business, embracing the ups and downs as part of the show. That’s how Tha Rockstar Accountant came to life—I wasn’t just going to do accounting, I was going to rock it.

Today, I bring that same energy to helping my clients. I’m not here to just do the numbers; I’m here to challenge the status quo. I want to make accounting fun and accessible for everyone, whether you’re an entrepreneur or a small business owner. I break down real-world scenarios so my clients understand exactly what’s happening with their finances, and I help them make smart, calculated moves that lead to success.

Financial literacy isn’t taught in schools, and many people don’t grow up with it, but I’m here to change that. My goal is to empower my clients, help them understand the game of tax law, and show them how to make a real difference in their financial future. It’s not about fitting into a mold—it’s about breaking free from it.
